S-Metolacloro Fender

It is a pre-emergent herbicide with systemic action. It is selective for corn, sunflower, soya bean, grain sorghum (treated with fluxofenim 96% p/v), peanut, bean, cotton, tobacco and beet, among other horticultural crops.

It must be applied before weeds make their appearance on the ground. It is absorbed by coleoptile and radicle in annual grasses and by hypocotyl and radicle in germinating broadleaf weeds (on sedges it acts by inhibiting sprouting and tuber development). It is important to note that this product will not exert control if it is applied on emerged weeds. The application must be carried out on moist ground, before or after rain or irrigation, and on well-shredded ground and without clods. Long periods without rain after application can reduce the herbicide activity.
